Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Z Junk Removal(“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit zjunkremoval.com, contact us through our website, call or email us, request services, or otherwise interact with our business.
By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
When you fill out a contact form, request a quote, schedule a service, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect information you give us, which may include:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Service address (when relevant to the service you are requesting)
- Description of the items or work you are requesting
- Any photos or files you choose to upload
- Any other information you choose to provide
Calls and messages
When you call or email us, we collect the messages, your phone number, and timestamps. We use this information to respond to your inquiries, schedule services, send appointment confirmations and reminders, and (with your consent) send service-related or follow-up communications.
We do not currently record calls. If we begin recording calls in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify callers at the start of each recorded call as required by California law.
Service-related photos and documentation
When we perform a job at your property, we may take photographs to document the load, record the work performed, support sustainability impact summaries (donation, recycling, and disposal records), and (with your consent) use as portfolio examples on our website. We use reasonable efforts to avoid capturing identifiable persons, license plates, or other personal details when photographs are taken for marketing purposes.
If you do not want photographs taken at your property, please notify us before service begins.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate geographic location derived from it
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, and how you arrived at our site
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 4 below)
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from:
- Service providers who help us run our business (email delivery, website hosting and storage, analytics, and lead-management tools)
- Public sources (e.g., property records, business registries) when relevant to a service request you have made
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request
- Schedule and complete service appointments
- Send you appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications
- Send service-related communications (e.g., invoice receipts, completion notices, post-job sustainability impact summaries)
- Send marketing communications, where you have given consent or where permitted by law (see Section 5 for details)
- Improve our website and services
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information with:
- Service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as email delivery (Resend), website hosting, security, photo storage, and database services (Cloudflare), website analytics (Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager), and our business email inbox (Google Workspace). These providers are contractually obligated to use information only as needed to perform their services for us.
- Donation and recycling partners, when items from your job are routed to local charities, scrap operations, or certified recyclers as part of our sorting process. We share only the information necessary for the partner to receive the donation or process the recycling (typically the items themselves; we do not share your name, contact information, or address with these partners unless you specifically request it).
- Legal and regulatory bodies, when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
- Business successors, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will provide notice before your information is transferred.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and analyze how the site is used. For a complete list of the cookies we use, see our Cookie Notice at zjunkremoval.com/cookies.
We use Google Analytics 4, delivered through Google Tag Manager, to measure how visitors find and use our website. When you accept non-essential cookies, Google Analytics collects an approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you interact with them (for example, which phone links and buttons you use). It also sets a first-party cookie that assigns your browser a random identifier so we can tell returning visits from new ones. This measurement does not record your name, email address, or phone number, and it does not run until you accept non-essential cookies through our cookie banner. We review the results in aggregate to understand site traffic, and we have not turned on Google's advertising or cross-site personalization features for this measurement.
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals indicating that the user does not want their activity tracked. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of “Do Not Track” signals, our website does not currently respond to them.
Some browsers and browser extensions transmit a Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal. When our website detects a GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and do not load non-essential analytics or advertising technologies for that browsing session. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. Honoring GPC is an additional opt-out posture we apply at the browser layer.
5. Marketing Communications
We send marketing emails only to customers and prospects who have consented to receive them.
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by emailing us at info@zjunkremoval.com. We will honor opt-out requests within ten business days.
We do not need your consent to send transactional communications related to a service you have requested (e.g., appointment confirmations, completion notices, invoices, post-job sustainability summaries). You will receive these as long as you remain our customer.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide services, complete transactions, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods vary by information type and the purpose for which we collected it.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

11. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland Residents
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, additional rights apply to your personal information under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.
Legal bases for processing
We process personal information about EEA, UK, and Swiss residents under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract. When you request a service from us, we process your information to provide that service.
- Legitimate interests. We process information for the day-to-day operation of our business, including responding to inquiries, scheduling, improving our services, and protecting our business and customers from fraud, except where those interests are overridden by your fundamental rights.
- Consent. Where required by law, we process information based on your consent (for example, marketing emails). You may withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligation. We process information where required by law, such as tax recordkeeping and responding to law enforcement requests.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal exceptions
- Restrict or object to certain processing of your information
- Receive your information in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@zjunkremoval.com. We will respond within thirty days. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. When you provide information to us, it is transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where we transfer EEA, UK, or Swiss resident data to the United States or to other countries, we rely on appropriate safeguards including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable) with our service providers.
Data Protection Officer
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. For privacy inquiries, contact us at info@zjunkremoval.com.
12. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on our website and revise the “Last updated” date above. Changes are effective when posted.
