Local. Small. The kind of operation that answers the phone.
Z Junk is owner-run and based in Murrieta, working across six cities in southwest Riverside County.
Why Z Junk exists.
Z Junk got its start in Murrieta because junk removal here was dominated by chains pricing for volume, not for the customer in front of them. You called for a quote, you got a script. You asked for an honest price, you got a range so wide it might as well have been "we'll tell you when we get there." You waited for an arrival window, you got a four-hour block.
We started Z Junk to do this differently: a local shop you can actually reach, with honest pricing before we load anything and a 30-minute arrival window instead of a half-day guess.
We're not trying to be a fleet. We're not trying to scale to dispatch. We're a small local operation, and we like it that way. Every job runs the same way, with the same care, because the same person is on the other end of the phone, behind the wheel of the truck, and lifting the couch.
That's the operation. That's the work. That's what we mean when we say "we do the work ourselves."

What we stand for.
We show up when we say we will.
The 30-minute arrival window is the operation. You get a window, we arrive inside it. If we're running late, you hear from us before the window starts. We don't book what we can't deliver. We don't promise same-day when our truck is already full. We tell you what we can do, and then we do it.
We quote what we mean.
Our quotes are based on volume: what your stuff fills in the truck. The minimum is $125, about an eighth of a truckload. You see the price before we load anything. If the load comes in smaller than estimated, the price comes down with it. A tougher job, like a lot of stairs or something to break down, is on our posted schedule and goes in your quote before we start. Nothing gets added at the end without your OK.
We sort everything.
Every load gets sorted. Donation first. Recycling second. Landfill last. Furniture in good shape goes to local charities. Metals and electronics route to local recyclers. Refrigerant-bearing appliances go to certified recyclers. We don't dump what we don't have to. We track where it goes. You get a summary of your job's environmental impact after the haul.
We do the work ourselves.
When you call Z Junk, you get one number and one person who knows the truck, the calendar, and your job. The same person who quotes you shows up, does the lifting, and sorts the load, with no subcontractors or day-labor crews in between.
Where it all goes.
We work with local charities, local recyclers, and certified e-waste handlers in southwest Riverside County to keep as much as possible out of the landfill.
Furniture in good shape gets donated to local charities. Metals get processed by local scrap operations. Electronics and appliances with refrigerants go to certified recyclers who handle the regulated materials correctly. Anything we can't donate or recycle gets disposed of legally and responsibly.
The names of our donation and recycling partners aren't published here, but they're real, they're local, and they're consistent. We'll tell you where your load went after we haul it.
